Just got home from date #2 with Jen. It was lovely. We walked in the park as the sun was setting and finally by the light of the old fashioned lamps lining the paths when it got dark. We had a good talk about relationships and the fears that come along with dating. It was nice. I enjoy talking about “heavy” stuff like that. We saw a crazy light tree and stood in awe of it for a while, then walked over to The Tao of Tea and got tea and food and talked about traveling experiences and our shared passion for ancient civilizations and history. We said goodbye and I had a wonderful bike ride home through the quiet Portland streets. The air was warm and sweet smelling and I didn’t see a single car or other bike the entire ride home. Just a few people walking on the sidewalks. It was peaceful. Now I’m sleepy and ready for bed. How are you all tonight? Is anyone still up?
